Raniya's journey with Bharatanatyam began at the age of 5 under the watchful guidance of Guru Padma Subramanian, one of the pre-eminent classical dance scholars. Her training followed the traditional Kalakshetra style — emphasising geometric precision, sculptural postures, and devotional depth.
She completed her Bharatanatyam Visharada from Pracheen Kala Kendra and went on to perform at prestigious venues including the Sangeet Natak Akademi, Music Academy Chennai, and international stages in Singapore, UK, and Canada.

She holds a State Government Diploma in Kuchipudi and was honoured as Best Classical Performer at the 2019 International Dance Festival in Singapore.
